
Lucasta Miller is a critic and biographer. Her latest book is KEATS: A BRIEF LIFE IN NINE POEMS AND ONE EPITAPH, published by Jonathan Cape in February 2021, a top pick for the year ahead in the Times, Sunday Times, FT, Daily Mail and Evening Standard.
Her first book, THE BRONTE MYTH, was published to great acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic and hailed as a ‘landmark’ work in literary biography.
In 2019, she published L.E.L.: THE LOST LIFE AND MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF THE ‘FEMALE BYRON’, which was shortlisted for the NBCC Awards and described as ‘a masterpiece of eloquent scholarship’.
Her literary journalism has appeared in a wide range of publications, including the Guardian, the Independent and the Spectator. A former visiting scholar at Wolfson College, Oxford, she is currently an Honorary Research Associate at UCL.
