
Tineka Smith is an author, diversity advocate, entrepreneur and former United Nations Consultant.
Tineka is also the founder of Huetribe, a greetings card company aimed at promoting diverse representation. The company was listed as an innovator in 2017 by Mintel Research. Tineka currently serves as a Council member to the Greeting Card Association
She also serves as a freelance communications consultant to the United Nations. Previously, she served as a Press Officer for the United Nations Human Rights Committee and worked on high profile campaigns such as World Refugee Day.
Tineka graduated with an MA from the celebrated International Journalism programme at City University, London. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Alabama-Huntsville with a Bachelor’s in Communications and French Studies.
Tineka has been interviewed on various BBC Radio shows as a racial equality and diversity commentator. Her writing and commentary on racism and diversity has appeared in titles such as ELLE, Grazia, The Independent, BBC Radio London, BBC 5 Live, Huffington Post, talkRADIO, Mashable, Yahoo!, World Radio Switzerland, The Voice, and Gal-Dem.
